Katy:

Born December 2002

Died November 22, 2006

Katy was cuddly and furry. I loved her. She was a nice guinea pig. She knew how to do tricks and she visited my class. I will miss her.

Goodbye Katy.

Katie - The Guinea Pigs

Katy the guinea pig was my first ever guinea pig, she had long golden hair and loved her food. She died for having mites which were incurable she is being missed by loads. She left behind her friend Catherine. When we first had Katy she had a friend with her called cheesy but she sadly died a short while after giving birth to 2 gorgeous guinea pigs. But she died of a cold on Christmas morning. Katy also had 2 babies and we don't know if Catherine is one of them. When Katy had to be put down the vet told us that she had probably had mites before we bought her. Before she had the babies all her skin started to get scabby and so did cheesies but at that time the vet said it was because they were pregant. We actually came to the vet in the first place because she had scabs and then she found out that they were both pregnant. Now Catherine is a orphan but we have bought her and new guinea pig called Elvis but Elvis might have to go because she is bullying Catherine. The thing I miss !
most about Katy is her little cheeky personality.
I still luv u loads and 4eva and eva

Louie- The guinea pig

My guinea pig Louie died several months ago. He was my dearest friend and closest confidante. He loved me unconditionally, he grounded me, he looked at me with those adoring eyes like no pig has before. He was the best one ever, and I told him so often. We moved four times, took road trips -- even went camping together.

I got him from the San Francisco Animal Shelter when he was about a year and a half old. His name was Zack. My friends from work told me there was a long-haired blonde guinea pig there, and when I saw him (blonde with some orangey brown around the eyes) I knew he was something special.

He had a wife, Alice, briefly. She was his virgin bride, chosen from shortly after birth, from a bonafide breeder named Jane Moorhead. She was a teddy bear pig. She died at less than a year due to an awful veterinarian named Dr. Noah in San Francisco who tried to cure her ear infection by using antibiotics without yogurt. I even told him it could be deadly, but he said it was ok because he used it on birds. It made her even sicker and she died by Louie's side (well in a cage next to him) about three days later. They did have several children, however, including Little Egbert Scooterbutt (a miraculously healed cripple) and Cosmo (who turned out to be a girl, not a boy, and ended up having Louie's babies!), who lives up in Marin County.

After seven loving, funfilled, sweet and crazy years, Louie is now buried underneath my apple tree, next to the gardenia I got for my 35th birthday. I buried him myself, and even petted his dead body (a first), and cried tears in the rain on his grave. Alice is buried in the backyard of a house on Brookdale in Oakland. Louie lived longer than any of my other pigs: Bo, Sylvester, Doris, Dudley, Stella the Intergalactic Guinea Pig, Howard the Pig, and others. Seven years is a record, and... he died peacefully in his sleep. The last thing I said to him was "I love you."

Lucky-the guinea pig

1995-1997
Lucky died right after Jay and Hamie from the same virous. at least he will be with his family now.

LUCY

January 1992-January 1995.
This little silver agouti was the runt of the litter but what she lacked in size she made up for in personality. She was had a great zest for life and was the perfect foil to her more sensible companion and sister Polly. Her sudden death just before her third birthday still distresses us.
