Cavy Boarding

Cavyland is proud to be able to offer guinea pig/cavy boarding while you are away in the Manchester/Cheshire area

We solely board cavies, no other animals, so we are specialised in their care

Price includes food and hay (unless a specific food is wanted). Any veterinary attention that is needed must be paid for by the owner

All hutches are 2 ft square, these can be extended to 2 x 4ft or 2 x 6ft but each additional section is charged as an extra

NEW  Prices include a complementary nail trim where needed & hair trim when requested

NEW We can also give your cavy the 'spa' treatment (bath, condition & blow dry) for an extra fee of £5 per cavy

Prices

Unfortunately prices continue to increase, therefore I have had to increase some of my boarding charges, 2ft x 2ft cages remain at the same cost as 2008. Increased Prices will apply from 1st June 2009

for 2 x 2 ft hutch ~ £2.00 per night per hutch (regardless of how many cavies are in the hutch. Maximum of 3 in a 2 x 2)
for 2 x 4ft hutch ~ £4.00 per night per hutch
for 2 x 6ft hutch ~ £6.00 per night per hutch

Cavies can be dropped off on arrangement between 10am and 8pm most days

Please book in advance especially in school holidays as demand is high

Charlie 28th May 2004 ~ 06 Feb 2006

When I got Charlie in 2004 I was nervous, I had never had a tame bird before, never mind a parrot. He soon had me eating out of his little paw and I loved him like he was the child I cant have.

Charlie your life was too short but you brought me so much pleasure and love and laughter that I will never ever forget you and your spirit will always live in my heart for as long as I live.

God Bless you my most precious baby boy, and farewell, I will see you again one day at the rainbow bridge.

Mummy

Lend Me A Bird
"I will lend to you for a while, a bird", God said. For you to love him while
he lives and to mourn for him when he is dead.

Maybe for twelve or fourteen years,  or maybe for two or three. But will you,
till I call him back, take care of him for me?

He'll bring his charms to gladden you and should his stay be brief,
You'll always have his memories as solace for your grief.

I cannot promise that he will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below I want this bird to learn.

I've looked the whole world over  in search of teachers true.
And from the folks that crowd life's land, I have chosen you.

Now will you give him all your love; nor think the labor vain;
Nor hate me when I come to take my lovely bird again?

I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, thy will be done,
for all the joys this bird will bring, the risk of grief we'll run."

Will you shelter him with tenderness?
Will you love him while you may?
And for the happiness you'll know forever grateful stay?

But should I call him back much sooner than you've planned;
Please brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

If, by your love, you've managed, my wishes to achieve,
In memory of him you've loved; be thankful; do not grieve.

Cherish every moment of your feathered charge.
He filled your home with songs of joy the time he was alive.
Let not his passing take from you those memories to enjoy.

"I will lend to you, a Bird", God said, and teach you all you have to do.
And when I call him back to heaven, you will know he loved you too.
