Charlie 28th May 2004 ~ 06 Feb 2006

When I got Charlie in 2004 I was nervous, I had never had a tame bird before, never mind a parrot. He soon had me eating out of his little paw and I loved him like he was the child I cant have.

Charlie your life was too short but you brought me so much pleasure and love and laughter that I will never ever forget you and your spirit will always live in my heart for as long as I live.

God Bless you my most precious baby boy, and farewell, I will see you again one day at the rainbow bridge.

Curly- The guinea pig

Died Tuesday 17th July 2004, age 2 years

I had Curly for a year and 3/4.  Curly the guinea pig was shy but sweet.
She was best friends with my other guinea pig, Squeak.  Curly loved
sunflower seeds and hay, but especially lettuce!  When we went to the pet store, she and Squeak ran up to the side of the bars and squeaked!  After I held them in my lap, I knew immediately that it was them who I wanted. Curly would snuggle into my lap, push her head under my hand, and go to sleep.  I felt so happy the day she finally trusted me.  She had to leave us one day because of something we didn't know of.  Possibly a heart attack. We made an appointment at the vet for 2:30, but when Curly started to get worse, we changed it to 2:00.  But Curly left us at 1:30, half an hour before we would have taken her to the vet.  She died in my arms, twitching so much it was painful to see her.  We put her in a shoe box with tissue paper.  We added a sunflower seed and a piece of hay.  I wrote a note and put that in the box, too.  We buried her next to the house.  Whenever I picked Squeak up when Curly was there, Squeak would always squeak softly. Curly would squeak back.  That meant they missed each other and that Squeak wanted to go back in the cage.  Well, I picked Squeak up the day after Curly died, and after awhile she started squeaking to Curly.  I felt so sad, because Squeak couldn't go back to Curly, Curly wasn't there.  I miss you so much Curly.  Squeak does too.  I can't wait to see you again.  I love you Curly!

Nat (your owner) and Squeak (your best friend)

Dweezil- The guinea pig

passed away May 9th, 2000

Dear Dweezil. If you are listening, please know that your Mom misses you so
very much. You had such an impact on my life, that I cannot imagine not
hearing "wheeking" when I come home. Since you left, I still hear you,
every time I go up the stairs. My only consolation to your being gone, is that
I know you are no longer in pain, and that there are many Guinea Pigs with
you, and you are able to romp across the grass, and popcorn to your hearts
content. During your last days here, you were unable to do either, so I am
happy that you can now. Please know that I love you, and miss you so very
much. You were such a handsome boy. Tyler the dog, and Max the cat, miss
you too! They sit by your cage waiting for you to come home. Take care, my
precious angel, We will all see you again one day.

Your Mom,
Jan

Chewy- The Guinea Pig

We only had Chewy for about 3 months. His previous owners didn't take
very good care of him and he wasn't the cutest pig, but we loved him. He
was my first pig, Joe had some growing up. But we both spoiled him and
in his last 2 months he seemed happy, he finally showed us his
personality. Then on my birthday he didn't seem very healthy, so we took
him to the vet. He had pneumonia. They let us take him home after a shot
of vitamin c and some antibiotics. But the next day he had gotten worse.
We took him back, this time he stayed there for treatment. Then the next
day, Valentines Day 1998, he went to heaven. Chewy boy, we will always
love & miss you. Until we met again at the rainbow bridge.

Copy & Rainbow-The Guinea pigs, Father & Daughter

One day they were here and the next they were gone. Copy was almost 2 years
old and the exact replica of his father "Skidders", for that reason he was
very special. I saw them together- Copy and Rainbow, with mama next to
them, happily eating their carrots and talking to each other the way they do.
Rainbow was only 1 month old. I found them passed away on the morning of
Oct. 11, 1997. Just mom was left wondering what I was wondering. "What
happened?" The very saddest part about finding them was that they had their
noses pressed very close together, like they were trying to help each other
with what happening. I think they choked or something. I still can't stop
crying. I have lost pigs in the past, but this really hurts. I still have
"Skidders though, but he is really old now (8), I call him grandpa. He has
fathered at least 100 children and they all found homes , courtesy of our
neighbourhood pet shop. I receive credit for food and goodies for the one's
who live with me. The total is 8 now. :( I hope they like it at
RAINBOW BRIDGE-we will miss you very, very much!!!!!!

Cow- The guinea pig

died Oct. 9th

He had a hard life at first. He was rescued from a house fire. The police took him and
he was treated poorly there.  He was very scared. It took a while for him to trust me.
I tell all this because I like to think that a gave him a happier life. He had three good years. But, then he started drinking a lot of water and getting skinny. Other then those things, he ate well, was active, and seemed happy. I finally took him to the vet yesterday. She said she thought it was kidney failure, but that if he seemed happy and
wasn't in any pain,  I took him home and died later. . I'm devasted. I buried him in the back yard. I couldn't
stop crying at work today. A friend there went out and bought me mums. They are now planted right on top of him. I bought him a mate and they had three babies. He helped clean them when they were born. I still have her and their
2 sons. A friend received the other baby. Of course, Cow, my original, will always be my favourite. I keep having this urge to go out and dig him up, to see if he's really gone although logically, I know he is.
He was my friend and I was his.

Daisy Mae & Penny

Daisy Mae died on Feb. 6, 1997 at age 8 years and Penny died
on July 17, 1997 at age 1 year

I miss them dearly and will never
forget their friendliness and their very special personalities. Daisy
Mae had no children, but Penny had four babies last year. Both my pets
are buried in my backyard. Over Daisy Mae I planted a flowering crab
apple tree and a bunch of white daisies. Penny is next to her with a
stone marker on her grave. Daisy Mae died of old age and weakness
according to the vet. Penny died unexpectedly one hot summer day.
Daisy Mae introduced me to the wonderful world of guinea pigs and Penny
was her friend and neighbour. They are so sadly missed.
